More info will be posted here during the winter. Auditions for next year's Colt Drumline will consist of workshops where we learn the general techniques or playing marching percussion, and then an audition date where you will play the required music for our instructors.
Tentative Dates
Workshops- February 21, 28, & March 7
Auditions - March 14
Rehearsals will follow for the remainder of the school year, once a week. Warmups and "The Cadence" will be the focus of these rehearsals.
You will need snare sticks (preferably marching sticks & ProMark brand is possible), and a practice pad for the audition process. We will attempt to have THE MUSIC STAND carry these items ahead of time.
The 2006 Colt Drumline will consist of 4-5 Snares, 2-3 Tenors, 5-6 Basses. The Front Ensemble will consist of 10 performers.
